The Basque Country coastal caravan evokes litter discarded or washed up by the ocean on the coast. It took place on the Basque coast over the course of 3 days: from Thursday the 20th to Saturday the 22nd of March, and connected Hendaye to Anglet, passing through Biarritz. During the stops made by the caravans, Surfrider Foundation Europe presented its educational tools in order to raise awareness among the groups who had been invited earlier to participate in these caravans. It also allowed the implication of individuals in the reduction and evaluation of litter to be promoted. The Basque Country caravan raised awareness among more than 300 participants during the mobilisation flagship weekend. The programme included collection actions associated with awareness-raising actions such as cultural activities with the "shellfish and PVC" exposition from Nicolas Olhasso Gastellou, land art, the construction of a collective work of art made from litter collected which moved around to the collection locations, ans also sports activities on the beach.
